This has been an amazing campaign. We've grown so much over this last year and my team really humbly thanks you for your support. We truly hope to provide the best stories and a real alternative from modern corporate culture with a return to real heroic storytelling sensibilities.
Our campaign for our new book A High School Girl In The Crusades is coming to a close in 12 hours as of this update. More than 300 backers have come in for a manga-style parody of our Deus Vult, which is such an amazing testament to what we're doing here. If you haven't backed yet, this is the last chance. On the campaign we also have a new variant for Deus Vult, so if you wanted a physical but never got one, or if you want another copy, or one for a friend, you can get that on the campaign as well.
After this we're going to get to delivering these books (the books are 100% finished!) and then onto our bandes dessinees tribute in stunning science fiction color -- OVERMIND. It's going to b an amazing year and our best is yet to come. Thank you again!

No, that's not a typo. It's a play on words. Desu is the Japanese word for "is" and we "is" creating something a lot of fun right now with our new campaign, A High School Girl In The Crusades!
I had so much fun with our crusader-themed fantasy, I decided to flip the script and do a parody of the concept by throwing a modern high school girl into the crusades -- and doing it Japanese manga style in what's called the isekai genre.
What we have is a whacky, fun adventure that fans of Deus Vult will absolutely enjoy.
What's more is a lot of you, especially those who backed digitally, voiced you wanted a different cover for Deus Vult which was a little less lewd. So for you, we are combining this campaign with a 2nd print version of Deus Vult which has a brand new cover from Lolo Guzman. It's beautiful and I love his interpretation of the characters.

We've seen the reviews of Deus Vult and both Jesse and I are so pleased that you are loving this book. We poured our hearts into this to give you classic adventure and bring back real heroic storytelling.
Over the past couple of weeks I've gotten a few questions from you all so I will answer:
Q: Will there be a Deus Vult 2:
A: Yes, I have a rough outline of the story and Jesse and I will get to talking the logistics of his in November.
Q: Is The Cosmic Warrior the same as the Digital Stretch Goal Rewards?
A: The digital book you have is the first 1/3 preview of the graphic novel up on IndieGoGo right now. There are 2 full issues more worth of content the story. The Cosmic Warrior pairs nicely with Deus Vult as The Cosmic Warrior also features a strong-male hero and plays on a lot of the classic pulp character ideals. If you enjoyed Deus Vult's storytelling, you'll love The Cosmic Warrior.
Q: What's next?
A: Deus Vult was a love letter to 60s-70s Marvel Comics, especially Conan, and I'm going to be continuing this trend of bringing back retro-styles with a book called OVERMIND, which will be pure science fiction. If you like the cool atmosphere of EC Comics' Weird Science or European sci-fi like Valerian & Laureline, this is going to blow your mind. It'll go live as soon as The Cosmic Warrior is fulfilled.

Hey everyone! I just wanted to give a big thank you again from Jesse, Matt, and Me for your incredible backing of DEUS VULT. The book is the 2nd biggest success I've had since the original Flying Sparks campaign and I've gotten so many great messages about how you are loving the book. It really means a lot to us -- plus it keeps us going and able to continue making great comics.
I quietly closed the campaign earlier this week because I ran out of stock and all books are out for delivery! We've gotten this to as many people we can this go around, and I've given Jesse the loose concepts for Deus Vult: The Second Crusade which we'll work on getting to you next year.
Next up from me is going to be a rapid campaign for The Cosmic Warrior: The Complete Graphic Novel, which will be hitting IndieGoGo next week. The book is 100% done and I'm testing something out by doing a quick campaign with very simple tiers -- paperback and hardcover only. This will allow me to fulfill immediately and get the book into your hands. The campaign will only be running for TWO WEEKS and there will be no indemand. This will be out and to you rapidly as we have so many books to get out to you.
If you're not familiar with The Cosmic Warrior, it is a science fiction story about a fighter pilot who is bestowed with strange alien powers as he's chosen to fight as the champion of the Jolan people to defend their world. It's a cross between classic John Carter and Green Lantern stories, providing the kind of old-school heroic storytelling with a strong male lead that you've come to expect from DEUS VULT.
